|
The board of Directors of DOORS Inc gratefully thanks
everyone who contributed to
THE HANDLEMAN WALK FOR AUTISM held at Rutgers Gardens.
Contributions to date are in excess of $17,000 (and still coming in )
that go directly to DOORS programs. (It's never to late to contribute)
Team Handleman was led by Lauren Handleman and Mrs. Elaine Handleman who
helped the DOORS members honor the memory of Dr. Jan Handleman.
Dr
Handleman dedicated his life to the students and professionals in the
field of Autism at the DDDC and in New Jersey - It was his vision to
help found
a not-for-profit parents organization now known as DOORS.
Joe Giranda was the first recipient of the Handleman Award for
excellence.
The Handleman Walk for Autism would like to thank returning sponsors -
The Forresters, Vince Scanelli & Allstate insurance, Central Jersey
Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, Twin Oaks caterers , Stone Mountain
, EA Berg, The State Theater, and new sponsor Priceless Events.
Over 100
families enjoyed the beauty of Rutgers Gardens with beautiful weather,
opportunities to win prizes, and some healthy snacks . Also there was an
an information table from Marie Galdi on healthy living habits.
Thanks to All for helping open up DOORS for children and adults with
Autism -
see you next year !
